How to Split Files

By iris, Updated on 2012-09-12 19:25:09

Sometimes, you might need to use the Internet to send large files to your friends. One way to do it is to upload the file to a sharing platform, then send the link to the receiver. Another way is to split the file into several smaller parts and send them via email as attachments. For the latter option, you can use File Splitter. This free software enables you to split a file into several chunks. It can split a file into specified number of blocks or at specified unit size, so they can be easily attached to an email, or stored in a removable device such as USB drive, floppy disk, MP3, MP4, and mobile phone.

File Splitter allows you to split a file into multiple fragments of a specified size. These files can then be sent over the Internet and can be reassembled, or 'spliced' together, at the other side. This is especially useful when sending a file that is larger than an email provider will allow for file attachments.

1. Download Glary Utilities and install it on your computer.

2. Launch this program and find the "File Splitter" on the right list.

3. Choose a file to split. It can be any file of any size. Then, choose a destination folder. File Splitter will save all chunks to that folder. You can also choose the maximum size of the files.

4. Then please click "Split Now" to begin the splitting process.
